The Verkhovna Rada has officially extended martial law in Ukraine
The Verkhovna Rada approved the extension of martial law in Ukraine for another 90 days, passing the relevant law by a majority vote. The new period of martial law in the country will take effect on May 4, 2026.

A total of 315 members of parliament voted in favor of the corresponding bill (No. 15197) on the approval of the Presidential Decree “On the Extension of Martial Law in Ukraine” during the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.
The bill extends the term of martial law in Ukraine for 90 days, effective from 5:30 a.m. on May 4, 2026.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the second reading and as a whole a law on the integration of the electricity markets of Ukraine and Europe. This refers to Bill No. 12087-d, which provides for the integration of the Ukrainian energy market with the European one.
Ukraine is moving closer to free access for goods to the European Union market.
In addition, the Rada adopted a law on product quality control.
