Video: A massive forest fire has been raging in Transcarpathia for the second day
On Monday, September 21, efforts continued in the Mukachevo District to extinguish a forest fire covering an area of 7 hectares. At 8:05 a.m., the fire was contained; extinguishing efforts are still underway.
Twenty-six firefighters and eight pieces of equipment from Mukachevo, Svalyava, as well as the villages of Rososh and Nyzhni Vorota, have been deployed to fight the fire. Thirty-four forest rangers and 20 local residents are also working at the scene, and State Emergency Service specialists are using drones to monitor the situation from the air.

Near the village of Bohdany in the Vyshhorod district, firefighters spent four days battling a large-scale forest fire.
The fire in the Drevlyansky Nature Reserve engulfed nearly 49 hectares.
