A scheme to supply electrical equipment to Russia worth over 11 million hryvnias has been uncovered

The owner of a company in Kryvyi Rih has been notified that he is suspected of aiding an aggressor state.

According to the investigation, he circumvented sanctions and organized the supply of electrical equipment to Russia through an intermediary in one of the CIS countries. This involves over 100 units of equipment worth more than 11.5 million hryvnias. The man has been detained.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, the suspect—a director and beneficiary of a company from the Dnipropetrovsk region—did not cease cooperation with the Russian market but changed the logistics. Whereas products were previously supplied directly, after the restrictions were imposed, he organized a scheme via a third country by entering into a contract with a transit company.

Subsequently, the equipment was delivered to an affiliated enterprise in the Russian Federation and used in the production of electrical systems. Among the end users were sanctioned companies whose activities pose a threat to Ukraine’s national security.

Between 2023 and 2025, the suspect organized the delivery of over 100 units of equipment worth more than 11.5 million UAH, coordinating the shipments via messaging apps.

He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Under the procedural supervision of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, he was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A preventive measure was selected—detention without the right to bail.
