Border guards in Volyn donated more than thirty liters of blood
In Lutsk, military personnel and employees of the Volyn Border Guard Detachment took part in a traditional blood drive and donated more than 30 liters of blood. The blood supply was replenished at the Volyn Regional Blood Service Center to meet the medical needs of both wounded service members and civilians.
Soldiers from the detachment’s headquarters and units guarding sections of the border with Poland and Belarus—including those who have seen combat in eastern Ukraine—joined the drive. They emphasized the importance of regular blood donation to help their comrades on the front lines. At the same time, the blood service center noted that the donated blood is regularly used to save patients following complex surgeries, traffic accidents, and during severe illnesses.

A blood drive to support the capital’s medical facilities was held in one of the training hangars at the National Aviation University.
Czech President Petr Pavel made his final visit to the blood transfusion center as a donor, as he will soon reach the age limit set by the country’s medical regulations.
