Under the "Rebuilding" program for internally displaced persons, 3,300 housing vouchers have already been approved
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine has approved 3,296 applications for funding housing vouchers for internally displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories, totaling 6.59 billion hryvnias.
These payments are intended for individuals who have combatant status or a war-related disability. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery Oleksiy Kuleba, citizens with confirmed funding can already see the status “contact a notary” in the Diya app. This allows them to proceed to the stage of purchasing an apartment, a house, or investing in construction. After confirmation, 60 days are allotted to finalize the transaction, and the maximum voucher amount is 2 million UAH.
Currently, demand for the program remains extremely high: nearly 17,000 applications were submitted in just the first two days. To meet all needs, the government is working to secure an additional 3.9 billion UAH from the Council of Europe Development Bank. Applications that have not yet been confirmed are in a queue that advances automatically as new funds become available. Despite the challenges and aggression from the Russian Federation, the state continues to prioritize funding for housing programs for defenders. The e-Recovery program remains a key tool for providing social support to those affected by the war. Therefore, the ministry urges applicants to regularly check for updates on the government portal.
New rules for assistanceto internally displaced persons were introduced in 2026.
The deadline for internally displaced persons to submit documents for living assistance has been extended by another month. Applications for payments can now be submitted until June 1, 2026.
