The Transcarpathian Regional Election Commission has denied reports that Lysyuk was appointed as its head
The Transcarpathian Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has officially denied reports that Colonel Dmytro Lysyuk had been appointed as the institution’s new head.
Earlier, a number of Telegram channels and media outlets reported that Dmytro Lysyuk, the former commander of the 128th Separate Transcarpathian Mountain Assault Brigade, would allegedly head the Transcarpathian Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center.
The military registration and enlistment office emphasized that this information is not true.
“The information circulating online regarding the appointment of Colonel Dmytro Lysyuk as head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office and the Special Forces is not true. We ask the media and the public not to spread unverified and unconfirmed information,” the press service stated.
As a reminder, Dmytro Lysyuk’s name came into the public spotlight following the tragic events of November 3, 2023.
On that day, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile “Iskander-M” at a village near the front line in the Zaporizhzhia region, where servicemen of the 128th Separate Transcarpathian Mountain Assault Brigade were assembling to mark Missile Forces and Artillery Day.
After the tragedy, it became known that the brigade commander, Dmytro Lysyuk, was late for the awards ceremony. According to available information, the missile strike occurred at 10:10 a.m., and the officer arrived at the scene approximately two minutes after the explosion.
This was reported by the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Operational Command and Joint Staff.
