Zinchenko's defense team will appeal the verdict in the case of the murder of Iryna Farion

The defense team for Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of linguist Iryna Farion, is filing an appeal against the ruling of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv. On October 1, attorney Tetyana Musykhina stated that the case had been completely fabricated and insists on her client’s innocence.

According to the attorney, if necessary, the defense is prepared to take the case all the way to the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights. She also suggested that the choice of a defendant from Dnipro may have been an attempt to provoke a rift between Ukraine’s regions, adding that during the court hearings, the defendant has been supported by residents of many cities, including Lviv.
