Zelenskyy Announced Additional Support for Teachers
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to seek additional funding for educators. During a meeting with teachers on the eve of Teachers’ Day, they discussed salaries, housing for young teachers, and safety in schools.
According to Zelenskyy, teachers are among the state’s priority professions, alongside military personnel, medical professionals, and energy workers. He emphasized the need to increase financial support for education in order to retain professionals.
Separately, the president instructed officials to explore expanding housing programs for young teachers, particularly “eOselya,” as well as the possibility of creating a separate social housing program.

The issue of a shortage of shelters in schools and kindergartens was also discussed. Zelenskyy stated that the government and local authorities will seek additional funds to equip them.
