Zelensky announces new round of Peace Talks

Ukrainian and American delegations will continue working at the end of this week on coordinating the points developed during the meetings in Geneva in order to “move toward peace and security guarantees.”
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in a video address.

According to the head of state, both the defense of Ukrainian positions, resistance on the front line, and joint work with partners to strengthen diplomatic capabilities are equally important now.

“Our team, together with American representatives, will already this week — at the end of the week — continue bringing the points we have as a result of Geneva to a form that will lead us onto the path toward peace and security guarantees. There will be a meeting of the delegations,” Zelensky noted.

The President assured that the Ukrainian delegation will be well-prepared and focused on substantive work. He also added that Ukraine is constantly in contact with the American side and European friends, and also informs partners in other parts of the world and does everything necessary to maintain a sufficient level of defense support.

American officials have warned NATO allies that they will pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to sign a peace agreement with Russia as soon as possible. Otherwise, Ukraine will face “significantly worse terms.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has appointed a new special representative who will be responsible for promoting his “peace plan” to end the war in Ukraine. The position went to Dan Driscoll.

Former U.S. Secretary of State and prominent political figure Hillary Clinton called the peace plan proposed by the United States for ending the war with Russia an effective capitulation of Ukraine.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance named three key requirements that any peace plan to end the war in Ukraine must contain.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump will hold discussions on the American 28-point peace plan next week.

Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated that the U.S.-proposed “peace plan” regarding Ukraine is not final.

Ukraine and Europe cannot ignore the “peace plan” of Donald Trump’s administration, which consists of 28 points. According to experts, this plan essentially reflects Russia’s demands and envisions significant concessions from Kyiv.

At this stage, cooperation between Ukraine and the United States is crucial, aimed at concluding an agreement on peace and security. After meeting with the U.S. delegation, Zelensky will discuss the draft peace plan, which may significantly influence Kyiv’s future actions and its international relations.
