Zelenskyy wants to discuss the creation of an air defense system with Sweden
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine plans to cooperate with European countries to develop its own air defense system, and that this issue is to be discussed with Sweden in particular.
“We will work with European countries that have strong companies. These include Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands. We also want to discuss this issue with Sweden; I plan to do so a little later,” Zelenskyy told reporters on Thursday.
On April 19, the president announced that Ukraine needs to create its own anti-ballistic air defense system within a year; this is realistic, though there are questions regarding the components.
