Zelenskyy Discussed Ukraine's Ballistic Missile Defense with the British Defense Minister
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Kyiv with the newly appointed British Defense Minister, Wes Streeting. The key topics of the talks were the security situation, the consequences of the latest Russian attack, and the strengthening of air defense to protect Ukrainian cities from ballistic missiles.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation and the supply of defense equipment amid Russia’s plans to increase the production of ballistic weapons. They also discussed the joint production of certain types of weapons and the imposition of additional sanctions against Russian defense industry enterprises.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister, and the British people for their consistent support of Ukraine in confronting the aggression.

British Defense Minister Wes Streeting made his first visit to Kyiv since taking office. He came to personally assess Ukraine’s needs ahead of the winter and determine the next steps for military support.
Zelenskyy suggested that Ukraine is being denied air defense missiles in an attempt to coerce it into negotiations with Russia.
