Zelenskyy Discussed Air Defense and Expanded Defense Cooperation with Spain
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles, during which the two sides discussed defense cooperation.
Zelenskyy announced this.
According to him, Ukraine is counting on the expansion of the SAFE program and the development of joint production of defense products.
The president also briefed the Spanish side on the situation at the front and the ongoing Russian attacks.
He thanked Spain for its support of Ukraine’s air defense, particularly for providing missiles for the Hawk and Patriot systems.
Zelenskyy emphasized that these resources are in short supply, and Spain’s assistance is crucial for defending against massive attacks.
Separately, the president expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and the Spanish people for their support of Ukraine.
