Zelenskyy commented on a letter from Karol Navrotsky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Polish President Karol Nawrocki for his congratulations to Ukraine on the 35th anniversary of its independence.
“I am grateful to Polish President Karol Nawrocki for his Independence Day greetings, especially for his wishes for Ukraine’s victory. We will always remember Poland’s assistance, open hearts, and open doors from the very first days of the Russian invasion,” Zelenskyy wrote.
He also emphasized Ukraine’s desire to develop relations with Poland.
“We seek to develop ties between our two strong nations—with respect and honesty regarding the past, with a clear view of current threats, and with optimism about our shared future in the EU and NATO,” the President of Ukraine noted.
Earlier, it was reported that Nawrocki had sent Zelenskyy a letter on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, in which he wished Ukrainians victory in the war against Russia.
The head of state announced this on the social media platform X and published the Polish president’s letter.
As a reminder, Polish President Karol Nawrocki does not plan to visit Kyiv in the coming months, though dialogue continues between the offices of the Polish and Ukrainian presidents.
