Zelensky announces new meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Determined’
On 25 November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a new meeting of the “Coalition of the Determined,” during which participants plan to agree on further actions in the context of the war in Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that he had a productive conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer that morning, during which they discussed support for the Ukrainian people. He emphasized that the relevance of the coalition’s work is heightened by recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory.
“This morning, I spoke with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. It was a good and very productive conversation. I thanked the Prime Minister for the sympathy he expressed to the Ukrainian people,” Zelensky said.
The importance of the coalition’s actions is also reinforced by recent meetings of the Ukrainian delegation in Geneva with US representatives. During these talks, a 28-point “peace plan” was discussed, some points of which may contradict Ukraine’s interests. Zelensky stressed that after the Geneva meetings, new prospects for the peace process have emerged, and coordinating positions remains crucial as much work still lies ahead.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized that any peace agreement with Russia requires Ukraine’s consent. He also noted that the “Coalition of the Determined” had agreed on a peace plan for Ukraine, which is planned to be implemented by the end of 2025.
