Zelenskyy extended his greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha
On May 27, the President of Ukraine extended his greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Volodymyr Zelenskyy wished every family peace, blessings, and harmony.
He wrote about this on Telegram.
“I congratulate Muslims in Ukraine and around the world on the holiday of Eid al-Adha. May this holiday bring lasting peace, blessings, and harmony to every family,” the president said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is doing a great deal to ensure that as many families as possible can celebrate this year’s Eid al-Adha in safety. “We are protecting lives here in Ukraine and in Europe, and we also support the protection of lives in partner countries in the Middle East, the Gulf region, and the South Caucasus. Dangers must not prevail in any part of the world,” he emphasized.
“We also remember our Ukrainian Crimea, from which Russia’s war against Ukraine began in 2014. And we are grateful to everyone who is doing everything to support Ukraine and our people, who condemns the Russian occupation and helps us bring people back from Russian captivity. We remember Russia’s Crimean political prisoners and are striving to bring them home to Ukraine. It is very important that the entire free world does not forget those who are deprived of their freedom today. May this holiday bring joy to all good hearts! May Eid al-Adha be blessed and auspicious! Eid Mubarak!” the president concluded.
Prior to this, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees No. 317/2026 and No. 318/2026 awarding state honors to over 1,000 Ukrainian servicemen, some of whom received the awards posthumously.
