Zelenskyy: Ukraine Can Double Its Weapons Production With Europe's Support
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine does not have the financial resources that Russia is spending on waging war, but with the support of its European partners, it is capable of significantly increasing its own arms production.
According to the head of state, Ukraine’s defense industry produces weapons more cheaply than many other countries, and additional funding would allow production volumes to double.
“The Ukrainian defense industry can manufacture weapons more cheaply than other countries, and thanks to additional funding, we are able to double production,” Zelenskyy said.
The president noted that Ukraine needs billions in investment in the defense industry. In his view, it is European funding that will help fully meet the critical needs of the Armed Forces.
