A man with a prosthetic limb is insulating the facade of a five-story building in Vasylkiv

A photo has surfaced online showing a man with a prosthetic leg working at a height, insulating the facade of a high-rise building in Vasylkiv, Kyiv Oblast. The photo was posted by volunteer Diana Makarova.

The photographer turned out to be volunteer Ihor Pyvovar, who was impressed by the man’s actions. According to him, he happened to see the worker while running his own errands and decided to take a picture of him. The man was working at the fifth-floor level, sitting on a special board and holding onto two ropes.

“I stopped because I was simply amazed by this act. Despite such a severe disability, this man is working—and at such a difficult and dangerous job,” said Igor Pyvovar.

The photo is completely real and was taken in the city of Vasylkiv in the Kyiv region.

In Volyn, a woman attempted to secure a fraudulent disability designation for her husband in exchange for a bribe.

A lawyer who was beaten at the Territorial Center for Social Services was granted disability status and appealed to the European Court of Human Rights.
