A woman from Cherkasy won 190,000 hryvnias in the lottery thanks to her intuition
Svitlana, a resident of Cherkasy, won 190,000 hryvnias in the lottery. Her lucky ticket, which cost just 45 hryvnias, was one she bought on a hunch.
This story began on September 6, when the 1,400th, anniversary drawing of “Loto-Zabava” took place. It was then revealed that the winning ticket, No. 0006559, had been purchased in Cherkasy at the “DEPO’t Center” shopping mall. The winner was unknown at the time, so a search was underway to find the owner of the winning ticket.
It has now been revealed that Svitlana was the lucky ticket holder. She explained that when buying tickets, she relies solely on her gut feeling: if she senses that the day is unlucky, she might simply walk past the sales counter.
This time, however, she went to buy tickets with a clear purpose and in high spirits. The woman has been playing the lottery for the past year, and she already has a favorite part of the draw—the “Big Game”—which is what brought her the win.
During the drawing, she didn’t even realize at first that she had marked the required number of lines on her ticket. But then she spotted her ticket number on the TV screen, and her legs even started shaking from the surprise.
Svitlana shared the wonderful news with her daughter. In response, she heard: “Mom, be happy—you won!”
Now the winner already knows what she’ll spend the money on. She plans to use the 190,000 hryvnias to renovate her apartment, something she’s long dreamed of.
