Filming of "Karaoke on the Square" will be moved from Kyiv to Zhytomyr due to the threat of shelling
Filming of the revamped show “Karaoke on the Square,” which was scheduled to take place on September 5 at Kontraktova Square in Kyiv, was canceled for security reasons due to the threat of enemy shelling.
The recording of the new episode was scheduled for September 5 in Kyiv, but due to the security situation, the organizers decided to cancel the event in the capital.
“Friends, we have an important announcement. For security reasons, the filming of ‘Karaoke on the Maidan,’ scheduled for September 5 at Kontraktova Square in Kyiv, will not take place. But we’re not stopping,” the organizers said.
At the same time, the project isn’t halting filming. The next event with the audience will take place on September 12 in Zhytomyr.
“We’ll meet in Zhytomyr on September 12 to sing together, cheer each other on, and do good deeds,” the announcement reads.
The organizers promise to announce details regarding the time and location of the filming in Zhytomyr at a later date.
The revamped “Karaoke on the Maidan” is returning to the airwaves not only as an entertainment project. It has also been revived for a charitable cause—to support the “Titanove” rehabilitation center.
At this center, Ukrainian defenders are undergoing rehabilitation after sustaining severe injuries.
The show previously returned to television screens in a revamped format. Ukrainian hip-hop artist HAS now hosts the program, replacing longtime host Igor Kondratyuk.
As a result of the security situation, the filming of “Karaoke on the Maidan” in Kyiv on September 5 will not take place, but the show is scheduled to be filmed in Zhytomyr on September 12.
This was announced by the project’s organizers.
