On July 11, a day of mourning for the victims of Russian attacks was declared in Kramatorsk

On July 11, Kramatorsk declared a Day of Mourning for those killed in Russian attacks. Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers attacked the city and the village of Shabelkivka, killing six people, including a child. Another 13 people were injured.

 

July 11 was declared a Day of Mourning in Kramatorsk for the victims of Russian shelling. This was announced by Oleksandr Goncharenko, head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration. According to him, Russian troops carried out strikes on Kramatorsk and the village of Shabelkivka over the past 24 hours. Six civilians were killed as a result of the attacks. Among the victims was one child.

Additionally, according to official data, another 13 people sustained injuries of varying severity. All those affected are receiving the necessary medical care. Some of the wounded remain under medical supervision. On the Day of Mourning, state flags in the city will be flown at half-mast. Entertainment events will also be canceled or restricted. Residents are urged to honor the memory of the deceased and join in the citywide mourning.

Russian strikes damaged residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure. Rescue workers, medical personnel, police, and utility crews are on the ground. They are clearing up the aftermath of the shelling, assisting people, and continuing to survey the damaged areas.

The head of the city’s military administration emphasized that every life lost is an irreparable tragedy for the entire community. He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured. “July 11 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kramatorsk. Six people, including one child, were killed in Russian strikes on Shabelkivka and Kramatorsk over the past 24 hours. Another 13 people were wounded,” said Oleksandr Goncharenko.

Russian troops regularly strike cities and villages in the Donetsk region, using missiles, guided bombs, and other types of weaponry. Despite the constant danger, emergency services, hospitals, and municipal utilities continue to operate in Kramatorsk, helping residents cope with the aftermath of the attacks.

The day of mourning will serve as a day of remembrance for those whose lives were taken by yet another Russian attack. The city will honor the deceased with a moment of silence and express support for their families and loved ones, who are enduring this difficult loss. This was reported by the Kramatorsk City Council.

On the afternoon of July 10, Russian troops launched a massive airstrike on the Kramatorsk community in Donetsk Oblast. The invaders dropped seven bombs, which struck a high-rise building, a store, and a residential area. Four people were killed, including a 14-year-old boy, and nine others were injured.
