Photos have emerged of Russian "shadow fleet" tankers hit by Ukrainian UAVs

The first photos of damaged tankers from Russia’s “shadow fleet,” which were struck by Ukrainian drones during a large-scale nighttime operation, have been released online.

The published images show significant damage to the vessels: burned-out compartments, a destroyed bridge, signs of fire, shattered windows, and charred decks.

Earlier, Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”), commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, reported that 13 more tankers from the Russian “shadow fleet” were struck during the nighttime operation. Subsequently, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified that the Defense Forces had struck a total of 18 enemy vessels, including 13 tankers, three dry cargo ships, a ferry, and an auxiliary vessel.

On the night of July 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian military and logistical facilities, hitting 18 vessels, an oil refinery, oil terminals, and fuel infrastructure.

In addition, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft used for both combat and training missions.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the strength of the Russian army by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
