On March 28, Russian occupiers attempted to advance in the Pokrovsk direction — General Staff
As of the start of Saturday, March 28, Russian occupiers had launched 143 attacks along the front line, including 46 in the Pokrovsk direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The situation in the various sectors is as follows:
- In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out 40 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Four firefights were recorded.
- In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted five times to improve its position in the areas of Starytsia, Prylipka, Vovchansk, Vovchanskiy Khutory, and Chugunivka. One enemy attack is ongoing.
- In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out six assaults in the areas of Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, and Novoplatonivka.
- In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlements of Novoselivka, Stavy, and Drobysheve. One assault is ongoing.
- In the Sloviansk direction, the occupiers twice attempted to advance toward our troops’ positions in the direction of Zakitne and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One assault is ongoing.
- In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers attempted three times to advance toward Nikiforivka, Kuchero-Yar, and Predtechyne.
- In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 23 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Sofiivka, Kleban-Byk, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Berestok, Yablunivka, and Novopavlivka.
- In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted 46 times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Novoye Shakhovoye, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Mirnograd, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, Dachne, and Filiya. Three enemy attacks are ongoing.
- In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched 16 attacks toward Ivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Oleksandrohrad, Andriivka–Klevtsove, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Verbove, and Zlagoda. Three enemy assaults are ongoing.
- In the Huliaipole sector, 27 attacks were launched toward the positions of our defenders in the areas of Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Olenokostyantynivka, Huliaipilskyi, and Myrne. Four enemy assaults are ongoing. Airstrikes hit the areas around the settlements of Vozdvizhivka, Novosoloshyne, Dolynka, Kopani, Shyroke, and Huliaipilske.
- In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the Komyshuvakha area and is conducting ten assault operations in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Stepove.
- In the Dnipro direction, the occupiers attempted to attack twice in the area of the Antonivsky Bridge.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian military struck the Russian “Promsintez” plant in Chapaevsk, Samara Oblast, with FP-5 “Flamingo” missiles.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi presented awards to soldiers of the 1st Corps of the National Guard “Azov” and listened to reports from commanders.
