The Ukrainian Air Force delivered a powerful strike against Russian military positions in the village of Kotlyne in the Pokrovsk sector. The video of the combat operation was published by one of the Ukrainian military pilots on his Telegram channel “Sunflower.” The footage captures the air bomb hitting its target and the aftermath of the strike on the enemy facility. “Aerial reconnaissance by the Defense Forces identified a base for Russian UAV operators and relayed its coordinates to the fighter crews of the Ukrainian Air Force,” the statement reads. “To destroy the target, the pilots used GBU-type aerial bombs. As a result of the precision strike, the Russian UAV operators’ base was destroyed along with the personnel,” the statement notes.
The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the hottest spots on the front line. Russian troops are actively using drones for reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and attacks on Ukrainian positions. That is why destroying the bases of UAV operators significantly complicates the occupiers’ operations and weakens their capabilities on the battlefield.
