Belarusian manufacturer suffered heavy losses due to the Wildberries fire
Belarusian footwear manufacturer "Belvest" reported the loss of a large shipment of products due to fires at Wildberries’ warehouses. The company stated that the situation is challenging, but it plans to resume deliveries and restore its full product lineup.
Brand representatives have asked customers not to delay their orders, as this will help the company recover from the loss more quickly. Belvest noted that the destroyed shoes were manufactured specifically for customers.
The company did not disclose the exact amount of the losses or the quantity of products lost. It is also unknown whether the manufacturer plans to seek compensation from Wildberries.
At the same time, Belvest is already in a difficult financial situation. In January 2026, the Economic Court of the Vitebsk Region declared the company economically insolvent and initiated a 36-month reorganization procedure to restore its solvency and repay its debts.

It may take more than $16 billion to save Wildberries.
Following a series of attacks on Wildberries’ logistics centers, owners of order pickup points began losing customers and revenue. In some regions, their revenue in July fell by 15–20% year-over-year, and on peak days, the decline reached 30–40%. Market representatives warn that some pickup points may become unprofitable, and by the end of the year, about 15% of them may close.
On the night of August 5, drones attacked the Wildberries logistics complex in Aleksin, Tula Oblast, Russia. The strike hit the company’s largest warehouse in Russia’s Central Federal District, with an area of approximately 300,000 square meters.
