Odessa left without water and heating due to Russian attack

In Odessa, a Russian drone attack during the night of 17 February caused power outages at water supply and heating facilities.

This was reported on Telegram by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“After the drone strikes, tens of thousands of people in Odessa are left without heating and water supply. All necessary services are working to provide assistance,” the post reads.

InfoxVodokanal also reported that the water supply facilities were de-energised due to the Russian attack.

“Consumers in the Kyivskyi and parts of Khadzhybeiskyi districts of Odessa, as well as in the villages of Lymanka and Chervonyi Khutir, the Raiduzhnyi residential area, Sovin’yon 1–5, Chornomorka, and the Tairovo utility district, remain without water supply,” the statement said.

The company added that there may also be reduced water pressure or lack of supply on upper floors in some households in the Khadzhybeiskyi and Prymorskyi districts.

The city authorities have organised delivery of technical water.

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles; cities under attack included Dnipro, Odessa, and others.

“I am proud of every single one of you”: Syrskyi awarded Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the southern operational zone.
