Due to shelling and severe weather, consumers in 12 regions of Ukraine remain without electricity
As of the morning of August 7, 118 communities in seven regions of Ukraine remain without power due to adverse weather conditions.
In five other regions, power outages are due to hostilities and damage to energy infrastructure caused by Russian shelling. At the same time, there are no plans to impose restrictions on electricity consumption during the day.
Due to inclement weather, power outages have been reported in the Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernivtsi regions. Repair crews are working to restore power.
Due to hostilities and shelling, some consumers remain without power in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
Restoration work is being carried out where the security situation permits.
Consumers have also been urged to conserve electricity whenever possible from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to reduce the load on the power grid.

Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi stated that Ukraine’s energy sector faces an unmet need of approximately 650 million euros ahead of the heating season.
