DeepState reported on attempts by the Russian Federation to encircle Kostiantynivka
Russian occupiers continue their attempts to capture Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, gradually expanding the “encirclement” around the city. According to DeepState, some of the heaviest fighting is currently taking place on the outskirts of the city.
Enemy forces are also attempting to infiltrate Kostiantynivka itself. To do so, they are hiding in basements and high-rise buildings, trying to establish a foothold in the city.
It is noted that the most intense fighting is taking place specifically around Kostiantynivka.
“After capturing Illinivka, which the Russians are using to infiltrate the city, the enemy began expanding its zone of control, advancing westward to widen the encirclement around Kostiantynivka,” analysts said.
DeepState emphasized that Chasiv Yar is currently in the greatest danger, as the Russians are encircling it with their zone of control. Analysts noted that positions within the city itself are being held, but if the flanks fall—particularly in the sector to the north—the force in the town of Chasiv Yar will face serious problems.
Separately, analysts drew attention to the area near Sloviansk. According to them, there are currently two important settlements there that are within the enemy’s line of sight for an advance toward the city—Raigorodok and Mykolaivka.
“While the first is holding firm, the second is showing alarming signs of enemy infiltration. These are indications that the enemy is probing for weak spots, which it will inevitably exploit. Ukrainian pilots are successfully detecting and destroying the enemy, but there are tracking issues, as infiltrations have been recorded on multiple occasions,” DeepState reported.
Analysts noted that enemy presence has also been detected in the area around the village of Kryva Luka. Additionally, they stated that the villages of Orekhovatka and Rai-Oleksandrivka serve as key strongholds for the enemy.
“The enemy has yet to reach the first location, but in the second, breakthroughs have been observed with the enemy successfully eliminated. We are managing to keep Rai-Oleksandrivka under control and prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold, but doing so is becoming increasingly difficult due to a shortage of personnel. And this applies to the entire defense sector for the brigades stationed there,” the analysts emphasized.
