Russian troops may focus their attacks on large shopping centers in Ukraine, particularly on facilities that serve as both stores and warehouses.
According to Beskrestnov, the nature of Russian attacks is changing not only on the front lines but also in Ukraine’s rear regions.
Due to the use of ballistic missiles and high-speed jet-powered drones, people may have very little time to leave the danger zone and reach shelter after an air raid alert is sounded.
“If you’re in a shopping center and hear the air raid sirens, you have literally a minute or two to get out,” he emphasized.
Beskrestnov suggested that Russian forces may target large retail chains in particular.
As an example, he cited the “Epicenter” hypermarkets, which combine the functions of large stores and warehouses. According to the presidential adviser, he has previously urged Ukrainians to be especially cautious while in such shopping centers.
At the same time, the recent Russian attacks on “Epicenter” stores, in his opinion, indicate the risk of similar strikes recurring.
The presidential adviser emphasized that Ukrainians should not count on the standard ten minutes after an air raid alert is issued.
If ballistic missiles are used, there may be only one or two minutes before a possible attack. At the same time, the high-speed “Shahed” drone is capable of reaching its target within a few minutes.
That is why Beskrestnov urged people not to ignore air raid sirens while in large shopping centers.
He recommends that visitors to such facilities immediately leave the danger zone and head for shelter once an alert is sounded.
