Dynamo has officially announced the transfer of Oleksiy Sych

Kyiv's Dynamo has officially announced the signing of right back Oleksiy Sych. The 25-year-old soccer player has signed a three-season contract and will join the team in the near future.

Kyiv’s Dynamo has officially introduced its new player. The capital city club has signed 25-year-old right back Oleksiy Sych, who has experience playing for the Ukrainian national team. The parties have signed a three-year contract. At the same time, the agreement includes an option to extend the contract for one additional season if both the club and the player agree.

Oleksiy Sych was born in the village of Zoria in the Rivne region. He began his soccer career with Lviv’s “Karpaty” and made his first-team debut on March 14, 2020.

After that, the defender moved to Rukh, where he played from 2020 to 2025. He later returned to Karpaty and will now continue his career with Dynamo Kyiv. During his time in the Ukrainian Premier League, Sych played 87 matches, establishing himself as one of the league’s most consistent right-backs. In addition to his club career, the player has already made his debut for the Ukrainian national team.

Sych played his first match in the blue-and-yellow jersey on November 19, 2024, in a Nations League match against Albania. The defender took the field for the national team for the second time in March 2025 during the Nations League playoffs against Belgium. On that occasion, the Ukrainian team secured an important 3-1 victory.

Dynamo expects the newcomer to help increase competition on the right side of the defense and become an important part of the team in the new season. For Oleksii Sych himself, this move marks a new stage in his career. As a member of the Kyiv club, he will have the opportunity to compete for the championship, play in European competitions, and establish himself as a regular on the Ukrainian national team. The transfer was announced by Dynamo’s press office.

As a reminder, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) have classified the World Cup semifinal match between England and Argentina as a high-risk game.

Argentina may face sanctions following its celebration of the victory over England.
