Drones attacked oil depots in the Rostov Region and the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation

On the night of September 24, drones attacked several regions in Russia’s Southern Federal District. According to reports from the Russian side, the attack damaged an oil depot in the Rostov Region, and a fire broke out at an industrial facility in the Krasnodar Krai.

In the Rostov Region, according to Governor Yuriy Slyusar, an administrative building at an oil depot in the Kagalnitsky District was damaged by falling UAV debris.

He said that no fire broke out at the facility and no one was injured.

“Drones were also spotted in Taganrog and the Neklinovsky District,” Slyusar added.

The Krasnodar Krai was also targeted. The region’s emergency response headquarters reported that a fire broke out on the grounds of one of the enterprises in the Dinsky District due to falling UAV debris.

According to the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+, the incident involved an oil depot in the village of Novotitarivska.

The report did not provide information on the extent of damage to this facility or on possible casualties.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have destroyed 40 Ukrainian drones overnight.

According to the Russian ministry, the drones were allegedly shot down over the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Tver, and Rostov regions, as well as the Krasnodar Krai and the annexed Crimea.

At the same time, Russian authorities reported on the consequences of UAV debris falling in the Rostov Region and the Krasnodar Territory.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to the Russian invaders, including drone control centers, a UAV depot of the “Rubicon” unit, a fuel depot, and concentrations of military equipment and personnel.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Russian “Kasta-2E2” radar station, which is estimated to be worth $60 million. Throughout September 20 and into the night of September 21, the Ukrainian military also carried out strikes against other key enemy targets.

On September 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian facility used for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack drones. The strike took place near the village of Tsymbulova in Russia’s Oryol Oblast.
