Russia produces more than 3,000 Geranium missiles every month – Flash

Russia produces more than 3,000 "Geran" jet-powered drones every month, increasing production in parallel with conventional gasoline-powered models. Serhiy Beskrestnov (Flash), a technology advisor to the president, spoke about this in an interview with NV.

According to him, the enemy initially used a simpler jet-powered variant, the “Geran-3,” with a speed of up to 280–320 km/h, but after the development of Ukrainian interceptors, it switched to the more powerful “Geran-4” with greater range, speed, and a different warhead.

China plays a key role in ramping up production, supplying the Russians with CRPA antennas, mesh modems for online control, jet engines, cameras, and servo drives. At the same time, Russia is attempting to localize the production of equivalents to Chinese components within its own territory—in particular, jet engines for the “Banderol” UAV—in order to demonstrate technical independence to Beijing and avoid being subject to foreign conditions.

Russia is preparing to significantly increase its production of carbon fiber for attack drones. According to Politico, this could enable the production of tens of thousands of additional drones each year.

In Russia’s Oryol Oblast, 150–200 km from the Ukrainian border, a new centralized launch site has been set up for “Geran”-type jet-powered attack drones targeting Kyiv and central regions of Ukraine.
