Drones attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad Region

On the night of March 23, 2026, unidentified drones struck one of the Russian Federation’s largest oil export terminals in the port of Primorsk.

The successful strike caused a massive fire at the facility, as confirmed by local authorities and numerous videos online.

The first reports of a drone threat in the Leningrad Region emerged around midnight. In addition to Primorsk, the attack also affected facilities in Smolensk, where local residents observed intense activity by air defense systems.

Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko officially confirmed the damage to energy infrastructure.

The Port of Primorsk is a key link in the export of Russian raw materials via the Baltic Sea.

Its pipeline system has a capacity of 75 million tons of oil per year, making it a critically important target for weakening the aggressor’s economy.

According to OSINT sources, the Russian side attempted to repel the attack by deploying air defense and electronic warfare systems.

The occupiers report the alleged destruction of 35 unmanned aerial vehicles, but footage from the scene indicates successful strikes.

As a reminder, the Russians reported shooting down over 60 drones in the Leningrad region alone.

Drones also attacked the Saratov region, where over 60 explosions were heard.
