In Mykolaiv, six high-rise buildings and 15 private homes were damaged as a result of Russian shelling on the night of August 4. The roofs of four high-rise buildings were completely destroyed, and more than 400 windows were shattered.
This was reported on August 4 by Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych. According to him, Russian troops struck a residential area in the city’s Central District.
“In the Central District, Russian terrorists deliberately targeted an ordinary residential area. There were no military targets,” Senkevich noted.
Utility crews are currently working at the site. Workers are cleaning up the surrounding area, boarding up broken windows, assessing the damage to property, and advising local residents on next steps.
In addition, efforts are ongoing in Mykolaiv to address the aftermath of the Russian attacks the city suffered last week. Crews are working simultaneously at several locations.

As a reminder, on the afternoon of August 4, 2026, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a civilian enterprise in the city of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv Oblast. Three people were injured as a result of the attack. Emergency services are working at the scene.
