It should be noted that on the night of 13 January, Russia struck a Nova Poshta terminal in a Kharkiv suburb, killing at least four people.
In response, Ukrainian forces continue counteroffensive operations, while in the Russian city of Taganrog, drones attacked a facility producing components for combat UAVs. These events highlight the intensification of the conflict and the ongoing hostilities on both sides.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government has launched a new financial initiative aimed at strengthening social protection and providing incentives for energy workers involved in emergency repair brigades during the winter of 2026.
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov has also addressed residents left without electricity due to the critical energy situation on the city’s left bank, caused by recent attacks on infrastructure.
