The General Staff has updated the figures on Russian casualties in Ukraine as of September 18
As of September 18, 2026, Ukrainian forces had eliminated 1,420 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. Since the start of the full-scale war, the Russian Federation’s total military losses have continued to rise.
As of September 18, Russia has lost the following in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,514,910 (+1,420) people;
- tanks – 12,351 (+5);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,352 (+7);
- artillery systems – 49,938 (+75);
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 2,142 (+3);
- air defense systems – 1,646 (+1);
- aircraft – 442 (+0);
- helicopters – 356 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,656 (+12) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 522,316 (+1,808) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,111 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 150,442 (+424) units;
- special equipment – 4,701 (+4) units.

Throughout the day, Russian invaders attacked five districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 40 times, using drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. As a result of the enemy strikes, three people were killed and five others were wounded.
On the morning of September 17, Russian troops struck the “Epicenter” shopping center in Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, the building sustained significant damage and caught fire.
The enemy attacked a passenger bus in the Kosmichny district of Zaporizhzhia using an FPV drone. At the time of the attack, there were people on board who were traveling on their daily errands.
