General Staff confirms strikes on missile fuel plant in Russia and naval drone base in Crimea
On the night of 24 December, Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out a series of successful strikes on strategic enemy targets on Russian territory and in temporarily occupied areas.
This was officially reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The most significant strike hit the Yefremov Synthetic Rubber Plant in Russia’s Tula Region, where components for plastic explosives and solid rocket fuel are produced. Following explosions at the facility, a fire was recorded, significantly undermining Russia’s ability to manufacture aerial attack weapons.
At the same time as the strike on the rear-area plant in Russia, Ukrainian units attacked a storage and maintenance site for unmanned naval drones near Myrne in occupied Crimea. In addition, to disrupt the occupiers’ logistics chains, a regimental-level logistics warehouse was struck in Dovzhansk, Luhansk Region. These actions neutralized part of Russia’s maritime attack capabilities and complicated the supply of occupation forces directly along the front line.
Beyond strikes on industrial and naval targets, Ukrainian artillery and drones also hit a number of Russian air defense positions and troop concentration areas in occupied territories. The successful execution of these missions demonstrates the Defence Forces’ ability to systematically destroy critical enemy infrastructure at long range. Commanders emphasized that operations aimed at Russia’s demilitarization will continue in order to reduce the intensity of missile attacks on Ukrainian cities.
In addition, Ukraine’s Air Force carried out a precise airstrike on a building near Siversk in Donetsk Region where Russian drone operators were based, completely eliminating the threat in that area.
Drone operators of the 81st Separate Slobozhanska Airmobile Brigade also successfully destroyed a Russian infantry fighting vehicle along with its landing force near Serebrianka.
