The General Staff has confirmed the strike on a Russian oil refinery in Bashkiria
The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully struck a strategically important fuel and energy infrastructure facility in the Russian Federation.
The target was the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil refinery, located in the city of Ufa, approximately 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the operation, emphasizing the importance of this facility for the enemy’s logistics.
The plant is a key link in the supply chain of fuel and lubricants for the occupying forces fighting against our state.
The capacity of the targeted oil refinery for primary oil processing ranges from 6 to 8 million tons per year, making it one of the largest in the region.
Taking such facilities out of commission significantly undermines the aggressor’s ability to supply its army with the necessary energy resources.
Russian energy facilities not only process raw materials but also serve as bases for storing and transporting fuel to the front lines.
The strike on the Ufa Neftekhim site demonstrates the Ukrainian forces’ ability to operate deep behind enemy lines.
Currently, military experts and intelligence are assessing the extent of the damage and the degree of destruction of the plant’s technological equipment.
Fires at such facilities usually lead to prolonged stoppages in production cycles and massive financial losses for the Russian budget.
The Ukrainian command assures that such operations will continue in the future, targeting the enemy’s priority targets.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to strike key enemy targets until the Russian Federation’s armed aggression is completely halted,” the General Staff stated.
As a reminder, drones attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad region.
Drones also attacked the Saratov region, where more than 60 explosions were heard.
