Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated 1,370 Russian soldiers. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released updated figures on Russian military losses as of July 17.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the casualty figures for the Russian occupiers as of the morning of Friday, July 17, 2026.
As of July 17, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel – approximately 1,425,990 (+1,370) individuals;
- tanks – 12,148 (+4);
- armored combat vehicles – 24,946 (+6);
- artillery systems – 46,084 (65);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 1,943 (+7);
- air defense systems – 1,496 (+4);
- aircraft – 437 (+0) units;
- helicopters – 354 (+1) units;
- ground-based robotic systems – 1,919 (+12) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 412,884 (1,879) units;
- cruise missiles – 4,909 (+3) units;
- ships/boats – 31 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tankers – 121,216 (+489) units;
- special equipment – 4,424 (+4) units
