General Staff: Since the start of the day, the Russian army has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 65 times
Since the start of the day on May 27, Russian occupation forces have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 65 times across various sectors of the front. The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.
This was reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to military sources, in the Pokrovsk sector, the occupiers attempted 18 times to break through the defenses of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, as well as in the direction of Vilne and Serhiivka. Two firefights are still ongoing there.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled 17 enemy attacks near Rybne, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, and in the direction of several settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy launched six assaults on Ukrainian positions near Staritsa, Prylipka, and in the direction of Izbytske and Ternova; three battles are still ongoing. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled ten attacks, and in the Kostyantynivka sector—another five.
Fighting was also reported in the Kupiansk, Sloviansk, Oleksandrivsk, and Orikhiv sectors. Meanwhile, there were no enemy offensive operations in the Kramatorsk sector.
In addition to frontline attacks, the Russian Federation’s army continues to shell border areas. Settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions came under fire, including Tovstodubove, Ryzhivka, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, Klyusi, and Zarichchia.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck Russian command posts and logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.
Ukrainian drones struck an S-300 air defense system and Russian warehouses in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
SBU drones struck an oil pumping station near Moscow.
