General Staff: 820 Russian occupiers were killed over the past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have killed 820 Russian soldiers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The agency noted that the updated data on enemy losses reflect daily casualties and equipment losses resulting from combat operations across various sectors of the front.

 

As of May 22, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:

  • personnel – approximately 1,353,860 (+880)
  • tanks – 11,944 (+1) units
  • armored combat vehicles – 24,594 (+3) units
  • artillery systems – 42,511 (+57) units
  • MLRS – 1,798 (+1) units
  • air defense systems – 1,390 (+1) units
  • aircraft – 436 (+0) units
  • helicopters – 353 (+0) units
  • Ground-based robotic systems – 1,440 (+4) units
  • Tactical-level UAVs – 304,659 (+1,872) units
  • cruise missiles – 4,632 (+0) units
  • ships/boats – 33 (+0) units
  • submarines – 2 (+0) units
  • Vehicles and tankers – 98,205 (+135) units
  • Special equipment – 4,207 (+0) units

On the night of May 17, a number of Russian military-industrial complex and energy facilities in Moscow and the Moscow region were struck. Strikes were carried out on an oil depot in Durikino, an oil refinery in Kapotnya, the Angstrom microelectronics plant, and the Raduga Design Bureau, which develops cruise missiles.

On the morning of May 16, Moscow also came under attack by drones, causing airports in the Russian capital to temporarily suspend operations.

The “ATESH” partisan movement claimed responsibility for a sabotage operation in the Moscow region, which disrupted the functioning of elements of the Russian air defense system on the outskirts of the capital.
