The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 246 combat engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours
Ukrainian defense forces are holding back an intense offensive by Russian occupation forces, which carried out hundreds of assaults across various sections of the front line over the past 24 hours.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 246 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines on June 21, and the situation remains tense but under control.
The enemy continues to launch massive strikes on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and civilian settlements.
“Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile strikes, fired three missiles, and carried out 84 airstrikes, dropping 275 guided bombs. In addition, it deployed 9,629 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,932 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, including 55 using multiple launch rocket systems,” the agency’s morning report states.
In response to the enemy’s aggression, the Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces, and artillery delivered powerful strikes against the invaders’ rear areas.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces successfully struck four command posts, five areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, six artillery pieces, two drone control centers, and two other key targets of the Russian army.
The invaders were most active in the Lyman sector, where the enemy made 24 attempts to breach our defenses in the areas around the settlements of Novoselivka, Yampil, and Ozerne, as well as toward Lyman, Olgivka, Drobyshev, and Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy launched 16 assaults, while in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors, our defenders repelled 21 assaults each by the aggressor.
Fierce battles also raged in the Hulyaypil sector, where the occupiers carried out 30 attacks toward the settlements of Dobropillia, Hulyaypilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Rizdvyanka, and Charivne.
At the same time, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups have been detected so far in the Volyn and Polissya sectors.
