Estonian Foreign Minister: Russia Is Trying to Deprive Ukrainians of Knowledge by Targeting the National Academy of Sciences

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna condemned the massive Russian strikes on Ukraine, which have targeted kindergartens, schools, and the building of the National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv.

According to him, Russian attacks have been ongoing since the weekend and have already resulted in numerous casualties. The Estonian foreign minister specifically highlighted the strikes on educational and scientific facilities.

Tsakhna stated that in this way, the Kremlin seeks to undermine the Ukrainian education system and deprive Ukrainians of the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to build a sustainable and democratic future.

“Putin’s efforts must be defeated. The international community must increase pressure on Russia until justice is restored and full accountability is ensured for every crime committed,” the minister said.

He also emphasized that Estonia’s support for Ukraine remains unwavering.
