Kremlin accused Ukraine of disrupting the peace dialogue
The Kremlin has stated that Ukraine is allegedly not interested in continuing negotiations to end the war and has blamed Kyiv for the pause in dialogue.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claims that Russia is “open to negotiations,” but that the process has stalled due to what he calls a lack of “constructive attitude” on the Ukrainian side. These statements were made after a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which possible further contacts with Russia were discussed.
The Kremlin used these talks as a pretext to publicly accuse Ukraine of an “unwillingness to continue the dialogue.”
Peskov separately commented on Western media reports about a possible peace plan allegedly being discussed by the United States and its partners to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.
He stated that, contacts with the American side are ongoing, but “there are no new developments,” and the Kremlin, he claims, has no specific information about such a plan.
At the same time, the Russian side does not specify the format of its contacts with Washington or at what level they are taking place.
