Mobilization in Russia is not keeping pace with the occupiers' losses on the front lines — Syrsky

Casualties among the personnel of the Russian occupation forces in the full-scale war against Ukraine have begun to exceed the pace of mobilization efforts in the Russian Federation

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has officially confirmed that Ukrainian defenders are successfully carrying out the strategic objective of depleting the enemy’s manpower

This trend is significantly weakening the aggressor country’s offensive capabilities across the entire front line.

Since the beginning of this year, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have inflicted catastrophic losses on enemy units. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of January 1, 2026, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have killed or seriously wounded 183,500 Russian occupiers.

This exceeds the aggressor country’s mobilization figures for the same period, which stood at 180,500 soldiers.

These figures demonstrate that the Russian military-industrial complex and mobilization system can no longer keep up with battlefield losses.

The Ukrainian command is deliberately pursuing a strategy of maximizing the destruction of enemy manpower to undermine the combat capability of the Russian Federation’s army.

“Our main goal is to ensure that the enemy loses more than 1,000 personnel killed or wounded every day, and these losses must be so significant that they exceed the enemy’s ability to replenish its forces,” Syrskyi noted.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi made this statement in an interview with The Times.
