95 enemy breakthrough attempts on the front lines: The Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors are the hottest
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces positions 95 times, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors. The enemy is pressing on several sections of the front simultaneously, attempting to advance despite suffering losses. Ukrainian troops are repelling the attacks and holding their positions.
Since the start of the day, 95 combat engagements have been recorded, and the situation remains dynamic along virtually the entire front line. In the north, the enemy continues shelling border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, where several settlements have come under fire. The General Staff notes that the Russians are using both artillery and multiple launch rocket systems in an attempt to put pressure on Ukrainian forces’ positions.
In the Kharkiv sector, the occupiers made several attempts to break through the defenses, particularly near Starytsia and Lyman, but the Ukrainian military repelled some of the attacks. In the Kupiansk sector, two assault attempts were also recorded, which failed to yield results for the enemy.
The situation in the east of the country remains the most tense. In the Lyman sector, there were more than ten enemy attempts to advance, and some of the fighting is still ongoing. In the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk sectors, Ukrainian forces either halted the attacks or prevented the enemy from launching an offensive.
Particularly intense fighting is ongoing in the Kostiantynivka sector, where the enemy attempted to attack several settlements simultaneously but was repelled. The General Staff emphasizes that the situation there remains under control, although the fighting continues.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops carried out 25 attacks, attempting to put pressure on Ukrainian positions near several settlements at once. Some of the fighting continues, but Ukrainian defenders are holding the defensive line.
In the south, the situation remains most difficult in the Huliaipole sector, where the enemy carried out 23 attacks, and some of the clashes are still ongoing. Attempted assaults were also recorded in the Orikhiv and Dnipro directions, which Ukrainian forces repelled.
The General Staff emphasizes that despite the high intensity of the attacks, no significant changes have occurred on the front lines. “Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear,” the military noted. In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, a business center was hit following a massive nighttime attack by Russia. Preliminary reports indicate that people may be trapped inside the shelter.
As a result of Russia’s massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv, the shock wave damaged the ground-level lobby of the Lukyanivska metro station.
