There have been 73 clashes on the front lines since the start of the day
Since the start of the day, Russian forces have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 73 times.
The highest level of activity by the occupiers has been recorded in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Lyman sectors, where the most intense fighting is taking place.
In addition to assaults on the front lines, the Russian army continues to shell Ukraine’s border regions.
Settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions came under fire, including Sopych, Potapivka, Korenok, Ulanove, Khodine, Ryzhivka, Senkivka, Khrinivka, Arkhipivka, and Hremyach.
One combat engagement took place in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. At the same time, Russian troops carried out 49 shelling attacks, six of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the occupiers twice attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses near Staritsa and in the direction of Okhrimivka. In the Kupianskyi sector, one attack was recorded toward Kupiansk Vuzlovyi.
The situation remains tense in the Lyman sector. Ukrainian forces repelled 13 Russian offensive attempts in the areas of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Yampil, and on the approaches to Lyman and Ozerne.
As of the afternoon, two firefights were ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks near Zakytne and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Ukrainian defenders repelled another assault attempt in the Chasovyi Yar area on the Kramatorsk sector.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy attempted to advance four times near Pleshchiivka and in the directions of Kostiantynivka and Vilne. One combat engagement there is still ongoing.
The Russian army is most active in the Pokrovsk direction.
Since the start of the day, the occupiers have carried out 28 attacks in the areas of Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, as well as in the directions of Hannivka, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka. One clash in this sector of the front remains active.
Ukrainian forces repelled another 15 attacks in the Huliaipole sector. Fighting took place near Pryluky, Zaliznychne, and Charivne, as well as in the directions of Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Hirke, and Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops made one attempt to storm the area near Nova Tokmachka. An enemy attack in the Dnipro direction near Bilohrudyi Island also proved unsuccessful.
