There have been 80 clashes on the front lines since the start of the day – General Staff
Since the start of the day, 80 combat engagements have been recorded between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian troops. The enemy is carrying out the most intense attacks in the Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, and Huliaipole sectors.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15.
“Since the start of the day, the aggressor has carried out 80 attacks,” the statement reads.
According to the General Staff, the aggressor is shelling border areas. Today in the Sumy region, the following areas were affected: Iskriskivshchyna, Budky, Volfyne, Korenok, Sopych, Prohres, Ulanove, Shalygyne, Bachivsk, and Bunyachyne. In the Chernihiv region, Zarichchia and Lisivshchyna were affected. Vilna Sloboda in the Sumy region and Karpovychi in the Chernihiv region also came under airstrikes.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 30 shelling attacks on settlements and the positions of our troops. One enemy assault was recorded.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted eight times to improve its position in the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, Ternova, Lyman, Synelnykove, and Novovasylivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out one assault toward Kindrashivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked seven times toward Stavky, Novosergiivka, Druzhlyubivka, Zarichne, Lyman, Dibrova, and Yampil. Two of these attacks are still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the occupiers are attempting to improve their position toward Rai-Oleksandrivka. The attack is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct any active offensive operations.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 15 attacks toward the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Mykolaipillia, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, Toretske, and Vilne. One of these attempts to advance is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted 26 times to dislodge our troops from their positions toward the settlements of Zatyshok, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, and Filiya. Two of these attacks are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched a single attack toward Dobropillia.
In the Huliaipole sector, 19 attacks were launched toward the positions of our defenders in the areas of Pryluky, Zlagoda, Dobropillia, Novozaporizhzhia, Pryvillia, Zaliznychne, Tsvitkove, Vozdvyzhivka, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Huliaipole. One of these attacks is ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, no enemy assaults were recorded.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy attacked toward the Antonivsky Bridge.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
