There were 127 engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours; the situation is most critical in the Pokrovsk sector
Since the start of the day, 127 combat engagements have been recorded between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where the heaviest fighting is taking place.
This was reported on Facebook, citing operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 PM on April 22, 2026.
“In total, 127 combat engagements have taken place since the start of this day. The enemy carried out 44 airstrikes and dropped 151 guided bombs. Additionally, it deployed 5,650 kamikaze drones and fired 2,362 rounds at populated areas and our troops’ positions,” the post states.
According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 105 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, five of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems; in addition, it carried out two airstrikes, using six guided bombs.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy twice stormed the positions of our units near the settlements of Bochkove and Okhrimivka. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled four enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlivka and Kivsharivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped two attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Drobysheve and Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two assaults by the occupiers near Yampil.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders successfully repelled an enemy attack near Nikiforivka.
Defense forces repelled 17 enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka sector near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultynivka, Ivanopil, and Illinivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 30 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, Toretske, Rodynske, Filiia, Shevchenko, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and toward Kuchero-Yar.
According to preliminary estimates, 65 occupiers were eliminated and 24 wounded in this sector today; three vehicles and 15 pieces of specialized equipment were destroyed, along with three personnel shelters; four artillery pieces, seven vehicles, and one piece of specialized equipment were damaged. A total of 143 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or neutralized.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the occupiers attempted five times to improve their position by attacking in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrohrad, Vorone, and Kalynivske. The outskirts of the settlement of Ivanivka were subjected to airstrikes.
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 13 attacks in the Huliaipole area and in the areas of the settlements of Dobropillia, Hirke, Zaliznychne, Zelenе, Staroukrainka, and Tsvitkove. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Kopani, Lyubytske, Shyroke, Huliaipole, Staroukrainka, Tymoshivka, Tsvitkove, and Dolynka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy advanced toward the settlement of Novoandriivka. Additionally, it carried out airstrikes on the areas around the settlements of Komyshuvakha, Novorozivka, Yasna Polyana, and Yurkivka.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy carried out two unsuccessful assaults toward the Antonivsky Bridge and Bilohrudy Island.
Belgium will purchase a batch of Gepard anti-aircraft systems for Ukraine.
The German government has updated the list of weapons provided to Ukraine. It indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have additionally received Gepard anti-aircraft systems, air defense missiles, drones, and shells.
Earlier, Sweden decided to allocate a $683 million military aid package to Ukraine. This was the 15th aid package and, at the time, a record for the country.
