In Kharkiv region, Ukrainian troops clear areas and take occupiers prisoner after failed attacks
In Kharkiv region, Ukrainian units are not only repelling enemy attacks but are also clearing settlements.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko, during a national television marathon.
According to him, Russian forces continue attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory, but are operating in small infantry groups without the use of armoured vehicles and are suffering significant losses.
“The hottest areas at the moment are in the direction of the settlements of Dihtiarne, Nesterne and Kruhle. The attempts to advance involve small infantry groups. The enemy is not using equipment and is sustaining heavy losses. Our units are not only repelling the attacks but also clearing this area. This was the case, for example, yesterday,” Demchenko said.
He added that Ukrainian servicemen are taking occupiers prisoner who attempted to infiltrate Ukrainian territory.
The enemy is also active in the area of the Vovchansk farmsteads, within the defensive lines where units of the State Border Guard Service are deployed.
It should be recalled that the 1,436th day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Overall, 117 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
