A woman was killed and others were wounded in shelling in the Kherson region

On September 30, Russian troops attacked Novovorontsovka in the Kherson region several times. A 77-year-old woman was killed in one of the shelling incidents, and at least two other people were injured. Among the victims were a 56-year-old man who was outside and an 88-year-old local resident.

On September 30, Russian troops attacked the village of Novovorontsovka in the Beryslav District of the Kherson region several times. The Russian strikes resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. This information has also been confirmed by Suspilne Kherson. At around 2:35 p.m., Russian forces shelled the village. A 77-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries as a result of the strike. “Russian forces took the life of an elderly resident of Novovorontsovka,” Prokudin said.

During the same shelling, a 56-year-old man who was walking down the street was injured. He was taken to the hospital. According to the Regional Military Administration, the man was diagnosed with injuries caused by the explosion and shrapnel. Doctors assess his condition as moderate. Suspilne reports that he sustained shrapnel wounds to his leg, a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed head injury.

This was not the only attack on Novovorontsovka that day. Around 11:00 a.m., Russian forces shelled the village with artillery. An 88-year-old woman who was in her home was hit. She suffered a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed head injury. An ambulance crew transported the victim to the hospital. Medical personnel assess her condition as moderate.

Thus, throughout the day, Russian troops repeatedly struck one of the settlements in the Kherson region where civilians remain. Novovorontsovka is regularly subjected to Russian shelling. Due to its proximity to the combat zone, the village’s residents are constantly at risk during attacks involving various types of weaponry. Earlier, on September 20, Russian forces also shelled Novovorontsovka—at that time, a 62-year-old local resident was admitted to the hospital with blast injuries and a concussion.

The strikes on Novovorontsovka are part of ongoing attacks by Russian forces on settlements on the right bank of the Kherson region. Russia regularly uses artillery and drones in the region, resulting in civilian injuries and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. Medical personnel are currently continuing to treat those wounded in today’s attacks. Information regarding the consequences of the shelling may be updated. This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

Additionally, in the Pechersk district of the capital, debris from a drone fell into the courtyard of a private building.

On the morning of September 30, a Russian drone struck the “Fora” supermarket in the village of Ivankovychi, Obukhiv District, Kyiv Region. The building was partially destroyed, a fire broke out inside the store, and a 50-year-old woman was injured. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office released photos showing damage to the cash registers, the entrance, the roof, and the store’s equipment.
